DumpTruck is a dispatch and payment service for dump-truck work, run by 3D Prints LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the DumpTruck mobile app.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, mobile phone number, email address if you give one, the company you belong to and your role (owner, dispatcher, foreman or driver).
- Company and compliance details — business name and address, USDOT and MC numbers, insurance certificates, workers’ compensation information and the other documents a carrier uploads to be approved, and details of the trucks a carrier runs.
- Job records — job sites, dates and times, materials, the trucks and drivers on each job, punch-in and punch-out times, hours, scale tickets and ticket photos, messages sent in the app, approvals, disputes, favorites, blocks and strikes.
- Driver location — while a driver is punched in on a job, the app records the phone’s location, including in the background, to show the truck’s position to the customer on that job and to keep a record of the day. Location is not collected before punch-in or after punch-out.
- Payment details — card and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive only limited information such as the card brand, the last four digits and payment status. Carriers’ bank and identity details for payouts are collected by Stripe.
- Approval PINs — stored only in scrambled (hashed) form; nobody can read them, including us.
- Device and usage information — push-notification tokens, app version, IP address, browser type and error logs, used to deliver notifications, keep the service secure and fix problems.
How we use it
- To run the service: post and claim jobs, assign trucks and drivers, record the working day, calculate billable hours, fuel surcharges and amounts, invoice customers and pay carriers.
- To send you notifications by push and by text message (see “Text messages” below).
- To check carriers’ documents and insurance and keep the board safe, including strikes, suspensions and fraud prevention.
- To provide support, settle disputes, and meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who sees your information
- The other side of a job. A customer sees, for the trucks on its jobs, the carrier, truck, driver name and phone number, the truck’s position while punched in, hours and tickets. A carrier and its drivers see, for jobs they have claimed, the customer’s company name, the job sites, and the names and phone numbers of the customer’s foremen. Customers never see what a carrier is paid, and carriers never see what the customer is charged.
- Service providers that run parts of the service for us under contract: Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payments and payouts), Twilio (text messages), Expo (push notifications) and Google (address lookup). They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us; and a buyer or successor if the business is sold or reorganized, who must keep to this policy.
Text messages
We use your mobile number to text you sign-in codes and, if you keep text alerts on, messages about your jobs, as described in our Terms of Service. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors that provide support services, such as our text-message provider, only to deliver our messages. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
How long we keep it
We keep job, hours, ticket, location and payment records while your account is open and afterwards for as long as needed for tax, accounting, insurance and legal purposes — generally seven years for financial records. When a record is no longer needed we delete it or remove what identifies you.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit. Each company can see only its own records and the jobs it is part of, and that rule is enforced inside the database. PINs are hashed, and we never store full card or bank numbers. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your phone and PIN to yourself and tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
Your choices
- Location: recorded only while you are punched in. You can turn off location permission in your phone’s settings at any time; without it the truck’s position is not shown to the customer.
- Notifications: turn push and text alerts on or off in the app’s Settings, or reply STOP to any text.
- Access, correction and deletion: email office@3dprintsusa.co to see, correct or delete your information. Some records must be kept for the legal reasons above.
Children
DumpTruck is for businesses and their workers. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app or by text if the change is significant.
